International Bachelor Overview of studies

Graduation Requirements

The ISG International Bachelor program has implemented the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) to facilitate mobility and transparency between schools. To successfully complete the ISG International Bachelor Program, all students must earn 180 ECTS credits, the equivalent of three full years of study.

This is broken down as follows:

  • 33 modules (165 ECTS credits),
  • an internship and report (5 ECTS credits)
  • and a senior research project (10 ECTS credits)

With a typical course load of 6 modules (30 ECTS credits) per semester, thus 12 modules (60 ECTS credits) per year, it generally takes three years to complete the program.

Completing the degree may also take longer depending on the student’s ability to pass all the requirements within a three-year period.

  NUMBER ECTS CREDITS
Modules 33 165
Internship and report 1 5
Senior project 1 10

Transfer credits

Students who have completed university-level courses at other accredited schools or universities
may be eligible for transfer credits. The courses in question must be compatible with ISG courses both in terms of content, number of hours and assessment.

Students must provide their transcripts showing they have completed and received grades for the  courses; furthermore, course descriptions in  English must be provided. Lastly, if asked, it is up to the student to obtain proof of accreditation from their school. Check with the ISG International Bachelor administration to know what acceptable forms of accreditation exist.

Watch, learn and apply"

Being a Marketing major I asked to do my internship in that sector of the company.Coincidently this was the department that was having the most issues and that required the most work. Additionally, I arrived at the time of a new product launch that required extensive preparation and an excellent opportunity for me to watch, learn and apply. My academic education taught me to use my knowledge and apply my skills whenever necessary. During my internship not only did I perfect my Italian, I improved my Marketing and Communication techniques. I was asked to prepare and present power point presentations, to brainstorm ideas for advertising claims and communication letters to clients. In the end, I was able to help the marketing department think of solutions for their problems.

A truly international program

I found out about the ISG International Bachelor through friends. I lived in New York for 8 years where I studied in the Anglo-Saxon system. The ISG International Bachelor gave me the chance to continue with this style of education which I find very effective. I especially enjoy the close contact with the teachers which gives a very human dimension to our classes.

Friendships with people from all over the world

The ISG is an excellent business school which allows me to study in English in an international environment. I would like to work in international trade and the ISG International Bachelor builds trully international skills and facilitates a multicultural experience. Furthermore, studying in France is very prestigious in my home country of Mexico to which I will return rich with new friendships with people from all over the world.

Closely related to the business world

I like the practical aspect of the school. I didn’t want to go to a typical French business school, in which you have to spend at least two years preparing exams. In the International Bachelor Program, most of the classes are already closely related to the business world. You have to work on several case studies, very often in groups, which develop great teamwork skills.

A once-in-a-lifetime decision

Deciding on where to do an undergraduate degree is a once-in-a-lifetime decision. The time I spent at ISG proved I took the right decision. The material covered in the various courses was interesting, structured and well-presented. ISG students don’t only receive an outstanding level of international business education, but can also excel in a great learning environment.
